I started this new adventure questioning "why?"
My mentors taught me to start with why. Even in the beginning days of my sobriety they were teaching me to start with why, now I'm utilizing it.
Some say the 12 steps are a selfish program. Well I learned what they mean is that as an addict/alcoholic I must first selfishly work the steps in order make the change in my life before I can be of service to anyone else. This is an oxymoron because the last step is about service to others. I also learned that to make the changes lasting it is required that I stop being selfish and learn to give to others.
The Buddha left his wife and child to seek enlightenment, first for himself then so he could then share it with others.
So, I'm here to continue to Inspire myself, to Change and Grow and find new levels of Success and the best way I've learned to do that is to share it with others. If I keep that in mind then I will not deviate from why I am doing this.
Thank you again for being here and helping me.
