There is a significant gender gap in the field of digital science. Women make up less than twenty percent of IT specialists globally. This needs to change: It is estimated that in Europe alone, the number of workers with advanced digital skills will need to double by 2030. More women entering the field, will fulfil this need and produce more inclusive digital technology.

But why does this gender imbalance persist? And how can we support and empower women to pursue a career in digital science?
