When Stuart told his teaching colleagues that he was going to leave education to run his own knitting and wool shop, they thought he was barmy.

However, 7 years later Stuart has taken a start up (The Woolpatch was only 2 years old when he took over) from simply selling wool and fabric, to building a community of digital and in person knitters who feel at home in his shop.
