Cs: Vše bylo pokryté měkkou vrstvou sněhu, která pohlcovala každý zvuk.
En: Everything was covered in a soft layer of snow that absorbed every sound.
Cs: Alena, milá žena s plachým úsměvem, kráčela pomalu k místu setkání.
En: Alena, a kind woman with a shy smile, walked slowly to the meeting place.
Cs: V její ruce voněly domácí sušenky.
En: In her hand, homemade cookies smelled fragrant.
Cs: Měla obavy.
En: She was anxious.
Cs: Byly to první Vánoce, které zde strávila, a nevěděla, jak ji sousedé přijmou.
