The Illegitimate Game

From Corrections Officer to Leader in Christ: Sister Alberta's Story

Listen Later

In this conversation between Brother Derek and Sister Alberta, they discuss her life before and after Christ, her work as a missionary minister, and her experience as a corrections officer. Sister Alberta worked at three different institutions as a corrections officer, including Flan Maximum Security Correctional Center for Women, where she was a kitchen officer for 13 months. She then moved to Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center before working at Bont. Sister Alberta believes that working at Flan was the best experience because she was able to establish the foundation as one of the first officers there. She also grew up in the Baptist Church and has fond memories of revivals, where everyone would come together to worship and fellowship. However, at the time of her work as a corrections officer, Sister Alberta was not living for God and was not implementing ministry or prayer in her life. She admits to making mistakes and saying things she's not proud of but is now a leader in the kingdom and serves the community and church.Shop Illegitimate Game Merch!
