Grief. It can consume us after a death, accident, financial crisis, or illness. How do we find hope in times of loss? This series features stories from Agri families who have endured loss and heartache and experienced the hope that only Christ can bring.
Last week, Mardon Layne shared about his father’s death from suicide as well as the depression and alcoholism he experienced afterwards. Today, Mardon is free from addiction and is full of joy. If you haven’t listened to last week’s episode, please check it out first.
This week, we talk to Counselor Educator Dr. Glen Putman and Licensed Counselor James Barham about the signs of depression, how to help those we love going through a difficult time, and resources that are available. There is hope and there is help for anything you are going through. You can move from depression to hope.
If you or someone you know are struggling with suicidal thoughts or ideation, please call 911 or contact the National Suicide Prevention Line at 800-273-TALK in the U.S. For Canada, please call 833-456-4566.
