While recording the Spanish version, I realised I forgot to mention parentification in this podcast. It’s when the narcissistic parent uses their child by making them take on parental responsibilities such as looking after their even younger siblings, working, or constantly giving their narcissistic parent emotional support, for example.

Why it is so hard to leave the narcissist, and which are the main beliefs which can keep us stuck in the relationship. We have to be aware of the excuses we make (which society tends to support!) which are not valid excuses to stay in a relationship with an abusive person.
