Story Transcript:

En: Tanja stood at the edge of the field hospital camp, where autumn leaves gently swirled through the air.

En: She felt excited and ready for the school trip she had eagerly anticipated.

En: Everything pointed to an ordinary day until the inevitable happened.

Sl: Nejc, z njegovim odločnim korakom, je štel vse svoje sošolce.
En: Nejc, with his determined step, was counting all his classmates.

En: Matej was, as always, somewhat apart, exploring the less noticeable parts of the camp.

Sl: "Vsi vaši?
En: "All yours?"

Sl: " je veselo vprašal Matej Najca.
En: Matej cheerfully asked Nejc.

Sl: "Seveda.
En: "Of course.

En: We have to be careful," replied Nejc, nodding to Tanja, who hid a feeling of doubt within herself.

Sl: Nato se je zgodilo.
En: Then it happened.

Sl: Glasen krik je prerezal zrak.
En: A loud cry cut through the air.

En: On one of the hiking paths, one of the students, Petra, tripped and fell.

En: Everything quickly descended into chaos.

En: Tanja saw panic on her classmates' faces.

Sl: "Moram pomagati," je pomislila.
En: "I must help," she thought.

En: Her heart was heavy, but she knew this was her chance.

Sl: "Pojdimo!
En: "Let's go!

Sl: Pomagajmo Petri!

En: she called out louder than she had ever spoken in her life.

Sl: Njeni prijatelji so jo gledali z dvigom obrvi, a sledili njenim ukazom.
En: Her friends looked at her with raised eyebrows but followed her commands.

Sl: Vodila je Nejca in Mateja k Petri.
En: She led Nejc and Matej to Petra.

Sl: "Dobro, Nejc, preveri preostale.
En: "Okay, Nejc, check on the others.

Sl: Matej, prinesi vodo," je hitro razdelila zadolžitve.
En: Matej, bring water," she quickly assigned tasks.

En: In her heart, she felt fear, but also an unusual confidence.

En: Petra was frightened and upset, but Tanja calmed her and found it was just a sprain.

En: The bright orange silly blanket of autumn leaves reached their feet as they returned to the camp, with Nejc's team in the lead.

En: Matej was still recounting stories of his adventures while Petra, with a smile, leaned on Tanja's shoulder.

En: The day was nearing its end, and as the sun set behind the horizon, everyone knew that Tanja had proven herself.

En: She finally felt accepted and respected by her classmates.

En: Her doubts slowly dissipated like leaves floating away in the wind.

Sl: Tiho je stala ob robu tabora, tokrat z dvignjeno glavo.
En: She quietly stood at the edge of the camp, this time with her head held high.

En: She realized that she had the power to help others and that she was capable of leading.

En: Everyone returned safely, and it was clear to Tanja that she was not just a student but also a leader.

En: The autumn field shifted into the evening calm, while a newfound confidence grew within Tanja.
