My story.... For over 30 years, I held to the view of eternal conscience hell. I wasn’t passive in that belief. I was all in. I provided Pastoral care at a Church of five thousand members and worked with many Evangelism Ministries worldwide. I wrote "Hell" sermons for pastors. I poured my heart into evangelism. I believed, like Jonathan Edwards, that eternity hung in the balance and that fear saved souls. I wasn’t intimidated by the weight of that message, I carried it boldly, convinced I was defending truth.

But then something unexpected happened. God began to transform me. This journey led me to what is often called Patristic Universalism (a term that was not used until after the publication of the book Patristic Universalism). In this episode I share how a committed evangelist, shaped by decades of eternal conscious torment theology, was transformed into someone who now sees the heart of God through a different lens.
