Story Transcript:

Sk: Marek sa prebral skoro ráno.
En: Marek woke up early in the morning.

Sk: Slnko ešte neprešlo cez husté koruny stromov dažďového pralesa.
En: The sun had not yet passed through the dense canopy of the rainforest.

Sk: Zo stanu vykukol prvý a cítil vlhkosť a chaluhou napustený vzduch.
En: He peeked out of the tent first and felt the moist, seaweed-infused air.

Sk: Jeho srdce bilo rýchlo.
En: His heart was beating fast.

Sk: Dnes bol deň, kedy sa mal zúčastniť na tradičnom ceremoniáli domorodej komunity.
En: Today was the day he was to participate in a traditional ceremony of the native community.

Sk: Elena sedela pri ohni s Janom.
En: Elena was sitting by the fire with Jan.

Sk: Jan bol miestny vodca a učiteľ.
En: Jan was the local leader and teacher.

En: But as the rhythm of the drums started, he felt something strange.

Sk: Pochopil, že jeho miesto je medzi kultúrami, že môže pomôcť zachovať takéto nádherné dedičstvá.
En: He understood that his place is between cultures, that he could help preserve such wonderful legacies.

Sk: Bol spokojný a pevne odhodlaný pokračovať na tejto ceste.
En: He was content and firmly determined to continue on this path.

Sk: A tak výmena medzi Slovenskými študentmi a domorodou komunitou skončila úspešne, darujúc pochopenie a rešpekt obom stranám.
En: And so, the exchange between Slovak students and the native community ended successfully, granting understanding and respect to both sides.
