Sl: Anže je stal ob oknu svojega novega doma in opazoval živahno dogajanje v parku.
En: Anže was standing by the window of his new home, observing the lively happenings in the park.

Sl: Bilo je poletje, sonce je sijalo močno in vroče.
En: It was summer, the sun was shining brightly and hot.

Sl: V zraku se je mešal vonj po sveže pokošeni travi in žaru.
En: The air was filled with the scent of freshly cut grass and barbecue.

Sl: Prvič se je znašel v tej zaprti skupnosti in občutek tesnobe ga ni zapuščal.
En: For the first time, he found himself in this closed community, and the sense of anxiety didn't leave him.

Sl: V Ljubljani, kjer je prej živel, ni imel veliko prijateljev.
En: In Ljubljana, where he used to live, he didn't have many friends.

Sl: Okoliški otroci so se zakrohotali, kar je zbudilo pozornost odraslih.
En: Nearby children burst into laughter, drawing the attention of the adults.

Sl: Nato je neka gospa, soseda z vedrim nasmehom, stopila bližje.

Sl: Do konca dneva je že pozabil na svojo začetno stisko.
En: By the end of the day, he had already forgotten his initial distress.

Sl: Užil je družbo in začel spoznavati prave obraze za vsemi imeni, ki so jih že prej slišali.
En: He enjoyed the company and began to recognize the real faces behind all the names he had heard before.

Sl: Ko je sonce začelo zahajati, je Anže sedel na klop in se ozrl po soseski.
En: As the sun began to set, Anže sat on a bench and looked around the neighborhood.

Sl: Začutil je toplino bodrenja in pripadnosti.
En: He felt the warmth of encouragement and belonging.

Sl: Morda so bila to prva prijateljstva, ki jih je skoval, in zagotovo ne zadnja.
