  • Emotionally Unavailable Men: Why His Words Don't Match His Actions

He says he's emotionally mature. He's ready for a relationship. He's a protector, a provider, and he knows how to treat a woman.

But what happens when his actions tell a completely different story?

This week on From Mrs. to Ms., Andrea sits down with relationship coach and relational leadership mentor Mike Elliott for an eye opening conversation about emotional availability, relationship patterns, and why some men don't show up as the partners they claim to be.

After his own divorce brought him to rock bottom, Mike was forced to confront the childhood wounds, coping mechanisms, and emotional patterns he hadn't even realized were affecting his marriage. What he discovered changed the way he approaches love, vulnerability, and relationships.

Together, Andrea and Mike explore why men sometimes say all the right things but fail to follow through, how to recognize genuine emotional maturity, and why asking the uncomfortable questions early in dating can save you from heartbreak later.

They also share an unexpectedly emotional moment about healing, learning to receive love, and finding the courage to face the parts of ourselves we've spent years avoiding.

    In this episode:

    • Why a man might genuinely believe he's emotionally available when his behavior says otherwise
    • The difference between emotional maturity and simply knowing what to say
    • How childhood experiences can influence adult relationships
    • What to watch for when a man's words and actions don't align
    • Why difficult conversations reveal so much about someone's emotional capacity
    • How to recognize accountability, vulnerability, and healthy relationship behavior
    • Why personal healing starts with looking inward

Whether you're dating again, recovering from heartbreak, or trying to understand the patterns in your relationships, this conversation offers a different perspective on what emotional availability really looks like.

  • How to Stop People Pleasing & Set Boundaries Without Guilt

Are you struggling with people pleasing in dating and relationships or saying yes when you really want to say no?

In this episode of From Mrs. to Ms., Andrea sits down with award winning leadership coach and master hypnotherapist Amy Green Smith to talk about how to stop people pleasing, set healthy boundaries, say no without guilt, and stop abandoning your own needs to keep other people happy.

Andrea gets personal about the ways people pleasing has shown up in her own dating life, including a date she knew she wanted to cancel, her tendency to accommodate other people's preferences, and even a recent moment when she realized she was looking to someone else for approval.

Amy explains how to recognize when compromise has crossed into self abandonment, why someone's reaction to your boundaries can tell you a lot about the relationship, and how to stop overexplaining every time you say no.

You'll also learn Amy's simple three step framework for having difficult conversations, how to practice speaking up in low stakes situations, and why taking inventory of what you complain about can reveal exactly where you may need stronger boundaries.

Then Andrea puts Amy through “Compromise or People Pleasing?” with real dating scenarios including changing plans for someone you're dating, agreeing to keep things casual when you really want commitment, and staying quiet about something that hurt you because everything else is going so well.

Amy leaves us with one powerful reminder:

“Do not allow your silence to make you a liar.”

If you've ever worried that setting a boundary will make you difficult, selfish, or unlovable, this conversation is for you.

  • Divorced. Dating Again. WTF Do I Do Now? | Separation Story Time

What happens after the divorce papers are signed and suddenly you’re sitting there thinking… what the hell do I do now?

This week, Andrea sits down with Amber Lee, creator of Separation Story Time, for a hilarious, honest and surprisingly vulnerable conversation about the part of divorce nobody really prepares you for: becoming single again.

Amber shares how her own divorce led her to start documenting the messy moments of starting over, eventually turning those stories into Separation Story Time and a community of people navigating divorce, dating, single parenthood and everything that comes next.

Andrea and Amber get into dating apps, the divorce glow up, terrible dates, falling in love again, being naked with someone new after marriage, body insecurity, sex after divorce, dating as a single mom and the very strange experience of realizing you actually might like this new version of yourself.

They also get very honest about the grief that can exist even when you know a marriage needed to end, why healing is anything but linear, and what Amber wishes someone had told her when she was sitting in the hardest part of starting over.

And yes… there are dating disasters. Because obviously.

    In this episode:

    • What divorce actually feels like versus what you think it will feel like

    • Why dating apps feel like an endless supply of “options” that aren't really options

    • The divorce glow up and becoming the main character in your own life again

    • Falling in love after divorce

    • When to introduce someone you're dating to your kids

    • Staying friends with an ex

    • Younger men, splitting the check and post divorce thirst traps

    • Why starting over can eventually become something you never expected

  • Harry Said “I Love You”… Then Immediately Regretted It | Let’s Marry Harry Ep. 5 Recap

SPOILER WARNING: This episode contains spoilers for Episode 5 of Let’s Marry Harry.

Harry Jowsey just said “I love you”… and almost immediately regretted it.

Episode 5 of Netflix’s Let’s Marry Harry finally gives us some of the emotional depth I’ve been waiting for. Harry opens up about his fear of losing love, Amber and Harry connect over grief, Sam starts asking the questions that actually matter, and Juliana wants Harry to finally tell her how he feels.

And then everything goes off the rails.

Juliana tells Harry she loves him. Harry says it back. The problem? He doesn’t mean it.

We’re talking about why saying “I love you” just to avoid an uncomfortable moment isn’t kindness, why self-awareness means very little without behavioral change, and why chemistry and compatibility are two completely different things.

Plus, Amber shoots to the top of my board after a surprisingly vulnerable date… right before that mysterious bathroom situation changes the entire mood.

My Harry Husband Material Score is officially back up to a 5.5/10, but with that shower still running, I’m not sure how long it’s going to survive.

  • Traditional Man Responds: Sex, Commitment & Dating Double Standards | Part 2

What happens when a first date turns into a full blown debate about how men and women date?

Traditional Man is back for Part 2, and this time the conversation goes way beyond what happened between Andrea and him.

After hearing Andrea’s original episode about their date, he came on the podcast to explain his perspective. In Part 1, they unpacked what he says Andrea got wrong, why he was “testing” her, the low cut dress debate, feeling objectified and whether effort on a date creates expectations.

    Now things get even spicier.

Traditional Man shares his views on sexual history, dating double standards, what men really think about a woman’s past, why he believes women’s preferences are celebrated while men’s are criticized, and one statement Andrea absolutely needed him to explain:

“Women control sex. Men control commitment.”

    Andrea and Amy push back.

Do women control commitment too? Do men also decide whether sex happens? Should someone’s sexual past determine their value as a future partner? And can you have a dating preference without judging people who do not fit it?

Then the conversation takes one final unexpected turn.

And just when you think the debate is over, Andrea finally asks the question she never got answered: Did he actually want a second date? His answer might be the biggest surprise of the entire conversation.

This conversation is provocative, uncomfortable at times, surprisingly funny and exactly why dating conversations need more than one perspective.

Now I want to hear yours.

Did hearing Traditional Man explain his perspective change your opinion at all? Which argument did you agree with? Which one had you yelling at your phone?

And if you haven’t listened to Part 1 or the original Traditional Man episode, S8 E11, start there first.

Is self awareness actually growth if your choices never change? Is Harry looking for a wife, or is he still chasing chemistry, validation, and the emotional high of an unhealthy connection?

What happens when the man you talked about on your podcast actually listens... and wants to respond?

Back in Season 8, Episode 11, Andrea shared the story of a date with a self proclaimed “Traditional Man.” She walked away from the date feeling questioned, tested and, at times, objectified. He walked away with a very different interpretation of what happened.

If you haven’t heard the original episode, go back and listen to S8 E11 first for the full story.

And yes, he heard the episode.

This week, Amy Watts is back as Andrea revisits the date and the claims he says she got wrong. But instead of trying to guess what he meant, they decide to ask him directly.

Traditional Man joins the conversation to explain his side, including what being a traditional man means to him, why he says he was “testing” Andrea, why he searched through her Instagram before their date, and whether a woman showing her body publicly creates any expectation about what she should give a man privately.

Then the conversation gets even more interesting when Andrea asks one very simple question:

“Did you earn my low cut dress?”

His answer opens up an entirely different conversation about dating, vulnerability, effort, entitlement and what men and women believe they owe each other when dating.

  • Let’s Marry Harry Ep. 3: He Wants a Wife… So He Kissed 11 Women?!

Harry Jowsey says he’s ready to leave his old dating life behind, settle down and find a wife. So naturally, in Episode 3 of Let’s Marry Harry, he kisses 11 women in one night.

    Yes. Eleven.

This week, I’m breaking down the moment “Scary Harry” starts creeping back in and asking the question that matters more than how many women he kissed: Can Harry actually change his relationship patterns when temptation is sitting right in front of him?

We’re talking about Harry’s growing connection with Dannelle, why Juliana may be activating a very different side of him, the women beginning to compete for Harry instead of evaluating whether he’s actually right for them, and why chemistry and compatibility are definitely not the same thing.

And then there’s Harry’s realization that maybe kissing his way through the house isn’t exactly helping him find a wife.

Self awareness is a start. But self awareness without behavioral change is just really accurate narration.

Plus, I reveal my updated frontrunners, give you my Girl, Run Moment of the Week, and Harry’s Husband Material Score takes another hit.

  • Let’s Marry Harry Episode 2 Recap: Is Harry Falling Back Into His Old Ways?

Harry Jowsey says he’s ready for a wife, but Episode 2 of Let’s Marry Harry has me wondering whether he’s actually choosing differently or already falling back into the same dating patterns.

This week, the kissing officially begins, and so do the questions. I’m breaking down Harry’s growing connection with Dannelle, why Amber has him so intrigued, the Faith “braggadocious” controversy, and whether Harry was justified in sending Faith home simply because she talked about their kiss.

We also need to talk about that VERY suggestive scene between Harry and Dannelle and what they’ve since said actually happened.

But the bigger conversation this week is chemistry vs. compatibility. Harry clearly knows how to create physical chemistry, but can he recognize the kind of woman he could actually build a healthy marriage with?

Plus, I’m revealing my current frontrunners, my Girl, Run Moment of the Week, the one thing I actually agree with Harry about, and Harry’s updated Husband Material Score.

Because Harry may want a wife, but the real question remains:

Does he actually know how to be a husband?

Spoilers for Episode 2 ahead. 💍

Follow From Mrs to Ms because we’re recapping this entire experiment, and Episode 3 is already looking MESSY.
