Tonight from the Asylum Studios in Eagle Pass, Texas, I sat down with Daniel Gray—author of The Men From the Medium—to unpack his journey from January 6 defendant facing decades in federal prison to a man transformed by faith, accountability, and the discipline of writing. Daniel shared how he handwrote his memoir while incarcerated, processed identity collapse, loss, and public scrutiny, and found peace through seeking the Lord, embracing responsibility, and choosing a quieter, purpose-driven life. We discussed grace through accountability, why he views prison as a redemptive season, what it means to put away anger, and how prayer and patience shaped an unexpected presidential pardon and a new path as an author and speaker.
