Sharon McRill is the owner and president of the Betty Brigade—a relocation and organization company based out of Ann Arbor Michigan. Her mission is to help people live more organized and less stressful lives. Laid off from a corporate marketing job in 2003, Sharon turned the setback into an opportunity. Sharon has been helping businesses get and stay organized for over fifteen years now and is a graduate from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. She expands her brands influence through strategic marketing and social engagement—reaching six figure sales. Her highly trained team of twelve is composed of handymen, organizing experts, and logistical wizards.

Sharon has seen firsthand that setbacks show you who your real friends are. When you are struggling in the deep end its really telling when you see who is there to offer you a hand. Another byproduct of Sharon’s struggle was that she realized she already had the skills she needed to succeed and move forward. She had been organizing projects and teams and setting up systems that would work well into the future—all things she was able to apply to her business. Although this wasn’t as easy as flipping a switch to realize—Sharon will be the first to tell you that its okay if you have to wallow around for a bit to figure it out, as she certainly did.

Just because you’ve grown and gotten bigger doesn’t mean your problems go away. You get new problems and there will always be hurdles to jump—so Sharon encourages you to not be afraid to get a coach at any point, and often times they are more affordable and impactful than you think. It’s a missed opportunity for most business owners, so make sure you take that opportunity to grow.
