Sl: Na mornariški bazi Koper je vzdušje napeto.
En: At the mornariški bazi Koper naval base, the atmosphere is tense.

Sl: Matej, svež mornar na bazi, se sprehaja po hladnem pomolu.
En: Matej, a fresh sailor at the base, walks along the cold pier.

Sl: Veter z Jadranskega morja prinaša vlažno meglo, ki ovija vse, kar vidiš.
En: The wind from the Adriatic Sea brings a damp mist that envelops everything you can see.

Sl: Matej je zavit v debel plašč, a hlad ni tisto, kar ga moti.
En: Matej is wrapped in a thick coat, but the cold is not what bothers him.

Sl: Čuti se osamljenega med množico, polno znancev, vendar brez pravih prijateljev.
En: He feels lonely amidst a crowd full of acquaintances, yet without true friends.

Sl: Luka, njegov sostanovalec, je povsem drugačen.
En: Luka, his roommate, is completely different.

En: But Matej doesn’t notice that he is served a pastry containing a secret ingredient – nuts, to which he is allergic.

Sl: Nenadoma se Matej začne počutiti slabo.
En: Suddenly, Matej starts feeling unwell.

Sl: Njegov obraz zardevajo in dihanje postaja oteženo.
En: His face flushes and his breathing becomes difficult.

Sl: "Matej!
En: "Matej!"

Sl: " zavpije Luka, ko opazi, da Matej ni več pri sebi.

Sl: V trenutku se začne panika.
