President Trump intervened to get a red card removed from the USMNT's striker, Balogun the day before the game against Belgium. Did that put a target on our backs? Did that remotivate Belgium and wake them up? Belgium is the #9 team in the World, but they were struggling a little bit before this game. Did the US team come out flat because of it? THe US team definitely looked out of sorts from the very beginning of that game. Was the stage stlll too big to get past the RD of 16? The bright side is I think the USMNT played great overall and for the 1st time they gave the American people hope that we could go far in the World Cup. There are definitely some good things to build on from this World Cup moving forward. Argentina makes a crazy comeback against Egypt to win 3-2 after being down 0-2 late in the game. Denmark has been the surprise team. Their striker Holland has been an absolute beast! He has 7 goals in the World Cup and is in the chase for the golden boot with Messi and Mbappe. England played great to beat Mexico 3-2 after getting a Red card very early in the 2nd half and having to play with 10 men. The World Cup has just been amazing so far! A lot of close games and very competitive!

Soccer is definitely growing in the US and with the Men's team doing well it will continue to grow. The US Men won their first knockout stage game since 2002 against Bosnia a couple of days ago. There was some controversy with our best offensive striker, Balogun getting a red card in the middle of the 2nd half. The biggest thing is he will have to sit for the RD of 16 game against a very dangerous, Belgium team! I think we have good subs though and a deep team. I like our chances. In other games, Germany was upset by Paraguay in penalty kicks. Belgium come from behind victory against Senegal in penalty kicks. England comes from behind againt DR Congo to win 2-1. All of the Round 32 games have been pretty good. Biggest question is can the US beat Belgium in Seattle? The US Mens team are 7-0 in Seattle so far. The Seattle fans are crazy about soccer and the US Men's team love playing in Seattle!
