Pickleball and mahjong, together at last. In this episode Sandra sits down with Kim Lynn, the club fashionista and the go-to person for everything mahjong. “You just walk in?” is what Kim’s husband asks when she randomly shows up at places to play mahjong. But for Sandra, the question means something more: when Kim walks in, the room fills with energy, from her fashion to her tile collections. Kim shares how Crazy Rich Asians and a group of friends inspired her love of the game, and the two chat all things pickle and tile!
P.S. I do NOT believe Kim was ever "content with one set"
Y’all, I got to sit down with Heather and Sterling Cannon, the husband-and-wife team from Georgia behind Bam GoodTime.com , and let me tell you, this couple knows how to turn a mahjong meltdown into a movement. One stressful night, a lost waitlist, too many tabs open on her computer and a whole lot of Southern determination later, they’re now helping more than 1,600 clubs get people around a table. If you run a club, want to join one, or just love the click of the tiles, pull up a chair!

We’re more connected than ever, and lonelier than ever. Sandra, founder of Pickle and Tile Club, shares how one group text after a six-week pickleball class grew into daily games, lifelong friendships, and a community of over 120 mah-jongg players. Learn why in-person friendship is about to become a huge movement, and how one simple invitation can change someone’s life.
Sandra sits down with her daughter, Steph, to talk about how Mahjong went from a hobby to a full-blown obsession. They share how confusing the card looks at first, the moment it finally clicks, and the secrets Sandra taught Steph (who has now officially become better than her!). It's a fun, heartfelt chat about learning, family, and the joy of playing together.

In today’s Episode I welcome my good friend Deb Haggett. Deb and I first met years ago through Toastmasters, crossed paths again on the pickleball courts in Wallingford, Connecticut, and then reconnected thanks to a simple Facebook post asking, "Does anyone play mahjong?" One coffee date later, a friendship was rekindled and eventually grew into something much bigger: the Pickle & Tile Club.
Welcome to From the Kitchen to the Table: The Pickle & Tile Club!
In this first episode, Sandra Centorino introduces the story behind the podcast's unique name and shares her passion for Pickleball, Mahjong, and the vibrant community that brings people together. Pull up a chair, step into the kitchen, and join the club... there's always room for one more!
