  • LISTEN: Okaloosa student finds threat written in bathroom
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat written on a girls’ bathroom wall at Choctawhatchee High School.
According to the OCSD, the threat was located by a student Tuesday morning. The student reported it to her parent who then contacted the school’s resource officer.
The threat was not directed towards any specific individual and investigators say it does not appear to be credible, however standard precautionary procedures are in place. The OCSO wants to remind students such threats are second degree felonies and anyone found responsible will be charged accordingly.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OCSO at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS, EmeraldCoastCrimeStoppers.com, or by submitting a tip via the P3 Tips Mobile application.
