  • LISTEN: 6-year-old nearly drowns in Choctawhatchee Bay
    CRESTVIEW — A 6-year-old Crestview child was pulled from the waters of Choctawhatchee Bay last night after a near drowning at Marler Park on Okaloosa Island.
    First responders were called to the park around 7:50 p.m.
    The little boy was reportedly playing with a group of children about 60 feet from shore when he went under. An adult spotted him unconscious in the water and brought the boy to shore, where immediate lifesaving measures began.
    Krystien Joseph was transported via medical helicopter to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Pensacola where he is being treated in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

  • Natick battles fire on South Main Street
    Firefighters from several communities worked to extinguish a fast-moving multi-alarm fire in a building near Natick Common that was first called in to 911 at 1:24 a.m. July 22, 2019.

    At least eight businesses are affected by the blaze that has destroyed the single-story commercial building.
    The 13,000-square-foot building was built in the early-1900s and has gone through many renovations. The building houses numbers 2 to 7 South Main St.
