Burlington Police Assistant Chief Brian Long stops by to invite the public to four remaining community input sessions the department is hosting as it updates its strategic plan. The current plan was built from meetings held in 2015, and the department used feedback from those to develop iniatives in operation today.

The next meetings are:

With gorgeous cinematography by James E. Hinton and experimental music by Sam Waymon, "Ganja" is a unique experience in the world of horror that transcends genre and time period. Andrew, Kate and Amy relate their impressions of the film and whether or not today's audiences would embrace it.

The Journal spoke with students Natalie Almeida, Jason Regan, Stephanie Borba, Megan Willgoos from Rogers Williams University about an Education Week survey. The Parkland, Florida, mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February was a turning point for nearly half of the youth in an Education Week survey; they said it was the single event that increased their political engagement.
