An Illinois State University graduate and freelance writer, Maushard talks about Mark Clark, who was killed along with fellow civil rights activist Fred Hampton in a police raid in Chicago in 1969. Maushard makes the point that Clark, a Peorian who was only 22 when slain, has largely been ignored and worse, dishonored by hometown media coverage.
