In 1967, when women were not allowed to participate, Boston Marathon official Jock Semple attempted to physically remove Kathrine Switzer from the race. He failed. Six years later, Semple finally gave Switzer her due, as she explains in an April 5, 2022 interview with wickedlocal.com's Tim Dumas.
