Chapter Five - Tough Times

In this chapter, I discuss tough times, 'now tough times, baby they come to us all' but how are these tough times magnified when living with life threatening illnesses? I talk about the personal tough times I'm going through and try to preach about overcoming these mental and physical barriers.

In this chapter, I dive into the sensitive topic of trying to maintain friendships when you are struggling both physically and mentally, I offer advice on unity and kindness in an effort to assure those who are isolated that they are not alone and what organisations can help them, as well as discussing the effects it had on me. Chapter Three - Control, what control?

A common theme amongst Cushings patients and other anxiety and depression sufferers is the loss of control they have on both their mental and physical health. In this chapter I address the loss of control from all angles and try to offer advice on how to retake a level of control from the support side.
