From The Pile

This is gonna be the loose format of the show now, unless of course [pauses for dramatic effect] we change it.

remember band camp?

I think we talk about weezer in this one too.

I've been out walkin,

we're serious

You heard right. Nick and Andrew are back, to discuss the 70's inspired R&B/Funk covers featured on the soundtrack to the latest installment in the Despicable Me/Minions franchise. We've got all the heavy hitters from Thundercat to Phoebe Bridgers to St. Vincent to RZA. Format of the show be damned, we had a good time talking about those wacky tic tacs.

Listen to Nick's other podcast, There Will Be Duds!

Well shit. Andrew and I did this back in September and I just now got around to editing it. In theory it was gonna be us talking about music you might've missed in 2021 but instead I talked about John Mayer for like 20 minutes. Then we talk about some stuff that was coming out last fall. Either way, sorry and also, you're welcome. I really do miss doing this show.

Hello? Hello? Hey! It's been a while. Do you like that I'm talking to you in the episode description like it's a casual conversation? Pretty good bit. Anyway, here's our episode of stray thoughts from 2020 from our Grammy Predictions to some discussions about the future and current state of music (hint: Tik Tok is kinda bad? I think?)
