There are dual harness programs in Tasmania this weekend and trainer/driver Todd Rattray will be involved across both Launceston on Friday night and Hobart on Sunday.

Having not raced in Tasmania since August 2019, Harjeet is one of the more interesting runners all weekend and he’s one of several chances that Rattray discussed with Duncan Dornauf in From the Stables.

Leading driver Conor Crook went close to winning last year’s drivers’ premiership and is again having another strong year, currently second on the table behind Troy McDonald.

Crook heads to Hobart on Sunday night with some strong chances and discussed them with Duncan Dornauf in an edition of From the Stables.

Driver Troy McDonald has a comfortable lead for this year’s drivers’ premiership, his 52 wins leading into Hobart on Friday night is 17 clear of Conor Crook in second place.

Not many weekends pass without McDonald adding to his winning tally and Troy will be hoping that’s the case again across both Hobart and Launceston. Troy discussed his Sunday night drives with Duncan Dornauf in an edition of From the Stables.

In-form claiming driver Jordan Chibnall is fresh off a treble in Devonport last Sunday and has a number of the same drives backing up in Hobart this week.

Duncan Dornauf spoke with Chibnall about her Hobart chances in an edition of From the Stables.

Last week was a memorable one for the state’s leading trainer Ben Yole, recording his 1000th winner in Devonport on Sunday.

It’s a new week though and Yole will be aiming to grow on his impressive tally of winners when he takes a big team to Launceston on Friday night.

Yole discussed some of his chances with Duncan Dornauf in From the Stables.

Talented trainer-driver Rohan Hillier has a very impressive strike rate when he has his trainers’ hat on and he will have three runners in Devonport on Sunday that he puts the polish on including two in the one race.

Hillier caught up with Duncan Dornauf to record an edition of From the Stables leading into Sunday’s 10-race program.

Hillier trains two newcomers to the state which incidentally ran in the same race in New Zealand back in April.

“These two popped up about six weeks ago in the same race actually and they both went good.

“They come in really good order off Barry Purdon and we kept them ticking over and I’d be pretty surprised if barring bad luck they got beat.”

The 4YO gelding comes to the state from New South Wales where he was part-owned by Canberra Raiders captain Jarrod Croker.

“His track work has been nothing short of disgraceful.

“It’s probably not an ideal draw first-up but at least we will get a look at where he is.”

Leading trainer-driver Mark Yole is enjoying another good season in the sulky, currently sitting in fourth place on the drivers’ premiership table.

It will be a busy night for many participants on Sunday with a big 11-race program in Hobart and that includes Yole who is involved in the majority of races. Duncan Dornauf spoke with Mark leading into the meeting to record an edition of From the Stables.

Trainer-driver Todd Rattray will be busy in Launceston on Sunday night, well represented through the eight-race program.
