Guest host, Jordan Perez, got a chance to catch up with semifinalist Derek Hitchner, a fifth-year at Pepperdine whose successes in golf have been a bit of an uphill battle. Growing up in Minnesota, Derek spent a lot of his junior career overlooked but landed an offer from Pepperdine. Initially, Derek didn’t receive a ton of playing opportunities – including having been left out of the National Championship team lineup in 2021, but ever since his game has only blossomed.
