Front Porch Anarchast

The newest episode is up.

I'm rambling on about updates from the well armed Gray Homestead.  Nobody seems to care, but it makes me feel better to talk about where we are going.

I also babble on about practical anarchy and ask if a good anarchist would comply with state licensing schemes to avoid punishment.

In this episode listen as I ramble on about people who claim that they didn't elect their current rulers, yet admit that they participated in voting for the current rulers.  There is also my take on the people of Virginia deciding to comply with the gun regulations put upon them by their governor Ralph Northam.

Voting is violence.  You needed to hear that.

Telling me to move to Somalia because I want to be free from the state is intellectual laziness and cognitive dissonance.

This is the first episode of 2020.  I was inspired to record it while driving after being told that people like me shouldn't have a podcast.  The anarchist in me decided to thumb my nose at the snobs.

In this episode:  Black Friday from an anarchist's perspective.  Listen to my take on a vegan suing Burger King and why you shouldn't care.  I'll even throw in a little union corruption as well as a review of the podcast "Drive With Us" out of Atlanta.  You'll get your money's worth out of this one.

Also included is a short update from the well armed "The Gray Homestead".  Our two kids are great, and the third seems to be coming along just fine.

Trying to step up my podcasting game.  Failing miserably.

In this episode:  listen as I stumble through the news of the day and add an anarchist's perspective.  Listen to my take on a local election, and how that 5% of the local population decided that the other 95% would continue to make tax payments to the state.  Veteran's Day, Hong Kong, and the Santa Clarita school shooting all make an appearance along with the current political news of the day, the impeachment of Donald Trump.

No update this time from the well armed "The Gray Homestead".  Nobody seems to care, so I won't bother.  Never mind the fact that my significant other and I are raising two awesome, freedom loving children here, and working on a third.

In this episode, you get my take on Walmart's prohibition on open carry of firearms in the wake of a couple of shootings in its stores.  It seems that the CEO of Walmart, Doug McMillon, has been itching for an excuse to stop selling popular ammunition in his stores.  Surprisingly, it turns out that Doug was the guy who pulled the plug on AR-15s and other scary looking rifles, deciding that Walmart wouldn't sell those types of rifles any longer.

It's not about hunting, Doug.

In this episode, I continue into what "rights" really are.  To sum it up, you have no rights that are not given to you through agreements with other men.   Should I have posted a "Spoiler Alert"?  This is the finale episode in what turned out to be a three episode series.

In this episode:  This was recorded last month.  We've been experimenting with growing our own food, since we plan to get back to our little cabin in the woods.  In this episode, I go into detail about one of our eclectic crop choices this year: sorghum.

Probably more than you'll ever want to know about sorghum and how we turned it into syrup with the help of others in the community (and a horse).

It seems to me that growing our own food is just one step towards living a truly free life.  Getting along with others in the community is another step.  Baby steps.

If you stick around until the end of the podcast, you'll get to hear a pack of wild coyotes that were closing in on me.  If you consider being about two miles off as "closing in".
