Unsurprisingly, a nuanced middleground perspective was missing from most of these hot takes. *correction* since recording this episode, it was revealed that individuals who continued to pay down their debt during the COVID-19 moratorium have the opportunity to apply for a refund of those payments. Therefore it is not entirely accurate to say that this policy has no benefit for people who just finished paying their debt.
