Gina Maio has worked in the education field for a while, and is often asked, "How do you make a broken school system work? Doesn't it feel hopeless?" Where others see brokenness, Gina sees hope.

Ken has a Masters, has been in three wars, and is an assistant principal for a non-profit high school. However, because of his appearance, he regularly experiences a reality counter to what a man of his credentials should expect. He is not alone.

Carolyn has been connected with the Church Hill community for most of her life. She's seen it go from an area that was unsafe for someone to walk alone, to a place where neighbors support each other like family. To her, you can have "family by blood", and "family by love".

Don Coleman has been having conversations on his front porch for decades. He's come to understand the value and importance of engaging life with others in that open, vulnerable space.
