Chad Remington received a long letter a desperate cry for help from people he’d never seen from a part of the country he’d never been to and hardly even heard of. He was sitting in his office above the Dos Rios livery discussing it with Cherokee O’Bannon. Dust storms had made Mr Newsom’s farm and his neighbor’s farm worthless and they wanted some legal advice on how to obtain new land from the government.
