To look for God’s requirements and expectations regarding priestly garments, we will look at 1 Peter 2:5 (KJV) and Exodus 28:2-3 (NIV).  I explained in the previous episode though there are two different priesthoods (Levitical & Royal) described in the bible, both are under different covenants with God Almighty; it is in the context of spiritual law; which, is eternal that we will address the concept, principle, and application of priestly garments and the office of priest to God be the glory in Jesus name. 1 Peter 2:5 (KJV) states, “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”   Exodus 28:2-3 reads, “make holy garments for your brother Aaron, to give him glory and splendor.  Tell all the skilled workers to whom I have given wisdom in such matters that they are to make garments for Aaron, for his consecration, so he may serve me as priest.”  The holy garments speak to or bear witness to the glory and splendor of God resting on Aaron serving as priest unto God.  In the same manner, in the natural realm-people make fashion statements with the clothes they wear; their clothes are designed to convey their personality and/or identity.  Hence, clothes have the potential to send a message and communicate to others with or without use of words. God wanted his holy priestly garments for Aaron to display his glory, splendor, and wisdom.

I’m your host Monica White.  Today we are continuing our study of Priestly Garments: Clothed in the Kingdom of God Series.  The bible identifies criteria for wearing priestly garments as well as for serving God in the office of priest.  We began to identify criteria in the last episode.  Holiness is a standard and expectation God has for those he has chosen to serve him as priests; even the garments priests wear are considered holy garments unto the Lord, God Almighty.  I just want to point out, the strategy we will employ for meeting this criteria is not of our own doing-it’s not by our strength, might, spirit, or intellect; rather, it is by the counsel of God through his word, the gift of faith exercised, help from Holy Spirit and the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross (tree).  God has commanded mankind to love.  God has commanded mankind to be holy as he is holy.  Both the command to love and the command to be holy are within our capacity to obey in spirit and truth by help of Holy Spirit.  We have Holy Spirit living inside of each one of us; he is our helper, counselor, teacher, guide, and comforter.  God says in his word via Luke 1:37 (KJV), “for with God, nothing shall be impossible.”  This is a promise for the believer to draw from in spirit and truth.  Jesus stated in Mark 9:23, “all things are possible to him that believeth.”  If we ask Holy Spirit to help us pursue holiness (while abiding in the in the righteousness of God), believing…we shall receive help in our pursuit.  In John 14:12-14 (NIV) Jesus states, “very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.  And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the son.  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”  Ok, let us pray!Holy Spirit, we thank you for your presence, comfort, peace, instruction, and revelation.  Thank you that your righteousness goes ahead of us and your glory is our rear guard.  Thank you that your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.  Thank you Abba, in Jesus name, that we your people live and move in the blessings and promises you made to faithful Abraham and King David; for we are blessed in all things and all places and goodness and mercy follow us each and every day.  Thank you for helping us to rest in your love, to rest in your counsel. God wanted his holy priestly garments for Aaron to display his glory, splendor, and wisdom.  Alright, pertaining to priestly garments, we see now both the garments and the priest(s) are to be consecrated (made holy) prior to serving God as priest.  Just like there is a process to cultivating an intimate relationship with God Almighty, there’s a process for salvation, holiness, consecration and being born again in God.  Let us start with the process of holiness (1 Peter 1:13-16) 1) “Prepare your minds for action”2) “Be sober minded” strategy to employ is 2 Corinthians 10:3-53) ”Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ” * strategy to employ is found in 1 Corinthians 2:10, Romans 8:27, Deuteronomy 29:29, and Jeremiah 33:34) “obedience” *rooted in love, see 1 Corinthians 13:1; John 14:215) “children” *Matthew 18:3-4, Mark 10:15, Matthew 19:14, Luke 18:166) “walk by the Spirit” *cross reference Hebrews 4:12 & Galatians 5:16-177) “By the Spirit put to death the misdeeds of the body (flesh).” *Romans 8:12-17In our next episode (in preparation for serving God as royal priests and wearing his priestly garments), we will discuss our pursuit for holiness in the context of consecration, sanctification, and being born again. In the name of Jesus, Life of God resurrect that which the enemy came to slay.  Living water spring up in the wellspring of your people that we be refreshed, renewed, and restored.  Cause your rivers of righteousness, peace, counsel, knowledge, wisdom, and revelation to locate and overtake your people so as they arise in spirit and truth, your light and glory draws man, woman, and child unto you, King Jesus.  We lend our ears to your Spirit and we submit our hearts to be cleansed and our lives transformed in Spirit and truth.  Breath of God release your winds of healing, salvation, love, and truth to connect, strengthen, and make the whole body of Christ to live, work, and walk by faith and in unity so that we bring glory and honor to your name King Jesus. Awaken your people Spirit of God; raise them from their slumber that they may join us in laboring for your harvest to free those oppressed, in bondage, and in darkness Lord Jesus.   We praise you because you alone are holy, righteous, sovereign, and just.  Word of God sanctify your people, washing us with your word.  I ask you to forgive us your people for anything and everything we have done out of accordance with your will, path, and purpose.  Continue Holy Spirit to help us be good stewards of all you entrust to us Yahweh, in Spirit and Truth.  Jesus you are our Savior.  You formed and fashioned us; we will not fear for we have been redeemed.  You have called us by name and we are yours Jesus; we belong to you and you only.  Thank you, Abba (in Jesus name): when we pass through the waters you, Yahweh-God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be with us, when we go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm us in Jesus name.  When we walk through the fire, we will not be scorched; the flames will not set us ablaze in Jesus name.  For you are the Holy One of Israel, our Savior,  Adonai.  We offer up in prayer, we declare and decree in Jesus name your word of life, your word of Spirit, your word of promise found in Isaiah 4:2-6 and Ephesians 5:26 concerning your will and plans for our life, service, and ministry in Jesus name.  Have your kingdom come in us (as in heaven), and your will be done in us (as in heaven) that you be glorified in spirit and truth in our lives, service, marriages, families, communities, ministries, and nation.  In Jesus name, in that day, the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit Abba of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel.  Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy in Jesus name, all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem.  I thank you Yahweh, in Jesus name, you our groom, our husband will wash away the filth of the women of Zion. You will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a Spirit of Judgment and a Spirit of Fire.  Ishi, in Jesus name, you will make us your bride holy, cleansing us by the washing with water through the word and present us to you Jesus as a radiant church, as a radiant bride, without stain or wrinkle, or any other blemish, but holy and blameless in Jesus name to God be the glory.  Thank you, Ishi, Jesus of Nazareth, son of the Most High God, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob you create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night.  Over everything the glory will be a canopy.  It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.  Abba, Word of God, I send forth your heavenly host angel of cloud and rainbow to minster to me, Monica, specifically, King Jesus.  Word of God, send forth your angel of cloud and rainbow to visit me again to hover over me again and assist me in entering your rest as written in Hebrews 4:9-10 in the land of the living in spirit and in truth; it is my desire to abide in the sweetness of your counsel, wisdom, and word in Jesus name in Spirit and truth.  Thank you for circumcising my heart and for covering me with your Mighty Hand.  Mighty Hand of God, pull me, Monica into the deep places of your mercy, word, spirit, truth, counsel, and knowledge and wisdom; so much so that I am completely hidden in your mighty hand and only your word, truth, love, presence and glory remain in me that I serve you as a vessel of light and truth in this earth to draw man, woman, and child unto you in Spirit and truth, in Jesus name I ask.  Holy Spirit hover and brood over us your people.  Thank you for making us new by the blood of Jesus and his word of promise.  Thank you for circumcising the hearts of your people and covering us with your grace, love, forgiveness, faithfulness, Word and Spirit. We are written in the palm of your hand and none can pluck us out.  Thank you Abba (in Jesus name), our names remain written in the Lamb’s book of life.  Thank you, Jesus for having your way in our lives for your namesake in spirit and truth to God be the glory. I'm your host Monica White.  In today's episode we are talking about wearing the garments of righteousness in the Kingdom of God for the work of the Lord and the glory of the Lord.  Before we jump into the deep and awesome treasures of scripture; I wish to thank Abba God in heaven for his son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and for the gift and indwelling of Holy Spirit.  Father I pray (we) your people become increasingly and keenly aware of your presence reigning and ruling within us (that we become increasingly and keenly aware of the bounty of your love and wellspring of your living water flowing from our innermost being).  Help us Holy Spirit to discern your still small voice; help us to stand in awe when you thunder from the heavens above.  Let us not lose our sense of awe and reverence for your glory and majesty.  You are holy, you are love, you are good.  Holy Spirit teach us to clothe ourselves in the righteousness of Jesus Christ that we bear much fruit, good fruit; and, bring glory to your name. Amen.  We know as children in the kingdom of God we are children of light and all that we are and all that we do in Jesus is by his grace, good measure of faith given unto us...with help from Holy Spirit.  Once we seek the Kingdom of God and have come to learn what it means to enter into the Kingdom of God (or even to behold and perceive the Kingdom of God which could be a separate teaching); we can begin the process of seeking his righteousness.  The first question I have for you is: How do we find the Righteous One, Jesus? Well, we can find him through his word; and today we will think of this process in the context of following a roadmap to get to our destination-unearthing the hidden treasures of righteous garments.  So, we will look at Matthew 6:33 and then Romans 13.  Matthew 6:33 instructs us to, "seek 1st his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you as well.  We are currently in pursuit of this passage.  Just for the purpose of context, Matt. 6:33 was written in the context of counsel (written to advise against the temptation and act of worrying and instructs the believer not to worry about what he/she will eat or drink for God knows what they have need of and he is their provider-in him they lack no good thing).  Alright, so in pursuit of righteousness-we need to locate the garment of righteousness; which, happens to be the Righteous One...see Romans 13:14.  The passage reads, "Instead clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the desires of the flesh."  That's an amazing truth to learn we can put on Jesus as a garment (in all that he is, in all that he represents: he is the lion of Judah, he is the Lord of Hosts, he is our Wonderful Counselor).  So, we're going to continue to identify additional garments of righteousness and then we'll get to my favorite parts of this teaching where we are going to discover the fruits produced from wearing the garments of righteousness!  This is important so that we may come up with a game plan of how to apply this kingdom principle in our lives (our familial relationships, professional relationships, social, etc.). Go to Job 29:14, "I put on righteousness and it clothed me; my justice was like a robe and a turban."  We are going to stay focused on the robe which speaks to our Kingdom Identity (our royalty with King Jesus); and, it also speaks to his covering over us.  Next, we can locate the next garment in Isaiah 11:5, "righteousness will be a belt around his hips [referring to Jesus], and faithfulness the sash around his waist."  The sash of faithfulness is a bonus garment for this teaching because it is our gift of faith (we exercise on a daily basis) that actually pleases God…we live, serve, and love through the good measure of faith gifted to us by God. Now, wearing the belt of righteousness speaks to the integrity of his righteousness versus unrighteousness such as self-righteousness.  Like a belt the belt of righteousness of God will secure and uphold you having you to remain in God rather than in unrighteousness namely, self-righteousness.  So, whether we are wearing any of the above garments of righteousness or the breastplate of righteousness located in Ephesians 6 regarding being dressed and equipped to engage in spiritual warfare on behalf of the kingdom of God...they will all yield fruit of the kingdom of God! So, I've located praise God 8 fruits produced from the garments of righteousness we can reap from the word of God and sow for the glory of God (*A method I'm referring to as P.R.S., which, we'll discuss later in this episode). **In this episode I used Strong’s Online Concordance and BibleHub.com for use of biblical references and terms.So, the first fruit to yield from the garments of righteousness is, "God's unfailing love!" Hosea 10:12 records, "sow for yourselves righteousness and reap the fruit of loving devotion (unfailing love depending on the translation).  Kingdom Authority! Isaiah 32:1 reads, “Behold a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule with justice. Wisdom! An additional route to gaining the wisdom of God is by wearing the righteous garments found in the kingdom of God.  Psalm 37:30 reads, “The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.”Peace! Isaiah 32:17 reads, “The fruit of the Righteous will be peace!!!Quiet or Quietness as in Rest-quiet-undisturbed according to Strong’s Concordance Online Psalm 32:17Confidence! In the context of safety… forever. Psalm 32:17Deliverance in the context of Help. Psalm 37:39Salvation in the context of Victory. Psalm 37:39So, now let us move into the application phase for our growth and development and then we will finish with application for working as laborers for God’s harvest, amen!To clothe yourself in Righteousness is to seek the kingdom of God as the bible instructs. This means we are availing ourselves to grow and mature by faith in the Spirit and word of God as a believer.  This entails us taking on the mind of Christ which, (in essence) is being kingdom minded.  The best example of distinction I would make regarding mindset could be that we move from a church mindset into that of a kingdom mindset.Continue to do what we are doing now- seeking the righteousness of the Righteous One, Jesus Christ. This means we are pursuing those garments, we are wearing those garments, allow Holy Spirit to produce fruit from the garments of righteousness in us, our relationships-familial, professional, social, etc.Actually, let us be about the Father’s business of clothing ourselves which requires us to include our heart, mind, soul, and spirit in the process of being clothed. This is not religion based; it’s about relationship and entering into a more intimate relationship with the Righteous One, Jesus Christ in our mind, heart, soul, and strength (which, is our display of our submission unto him).  It is our act of obedience and our display of love toward him in spirit and truth.One might inquire (now that we are dressed and ready for the occasion of Harvest to the glory of God!) What scriptures may we employ for the harvest wearing our garments of righteousness?  This is where I will share with you all my strategy I call E.P.B.C. Strategy that I thoroughly enjoy and works for me! Feel free to try this strategy out and let me know how it goes for you. Reap the harvest of the word found in the scripture, and lastly, Sow the word in the land- all to the glory of God that his kingdom come and will his be done on earth as in heaven!When we take on the mind of Christ we are cognizant of the fact Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and King of kings, Lord of lords; then we can pursue peace, sow peace, and reap peace via of the garments of righteousness. James 3:18We can sow for ourselves righteousness and reap the fruit of unfailing love. Hosea 10:12Identify and rest living out truth found in 1 John 3:7-10; you are born of God.  *If by chance you haven't given your life to Jesus Christ and you want a life of intimacy with him...then you can ask him to forgive you of your sins, to come and dwell in your heart, mind, soul, and spirit because you do believe and profess with your mouth that he is the true and living God, Savior, the son of God who died for your sins and rose to life on the third day that you may have abundant life in and through him, in Jesus' name.  You can receive his love, forgiveness, and communion with Abba, our father in heaven.  Please refer to Romans 8 as a point of reference for the above invitation.  Folks please visit us online and communicate with us and share your journey.
