We can't execute on our creative ideas without confidence, which includes trusting our instincts. The ability to identify what lights you up, and take action based on instinct, trust, patience, circumstance and risk tolerance creates results and scenarios that could never occur the same way twice, and could certainly never be planned for. What lights YOU up?

Clancy's definition of creativity: It's honestly being open to seeing differently. When you're able to do that, things appear differently and you have a different perspective. Which opens up other channels of how you approach something. When you can appreciate situations and people for who they are, whether you agree with them or disagree with them, I think a lot of creative solutions can happen.
Rachel's definition of creativity: I define creativity as a person's unique way of looking at a situation or a problem.
Stacey's definition of creativity: Being in the flow, being happy and not caring what anyone thinks.

In 2012 a study by Adobe identified what they called the Creativity Gap - while 25% of participants considered themselves creative, up to 80% of those same people believe creativity is key to economic and societal growth. While the gap seems wide - even insurmountable - what if the solution is simpler than we think?

The Frankly Good Coffee Story, Part 2:
Glenn is the roast master behind Frankly Good Coffee - which is crazy because he used to drink the coffee served on construction sites and think it was perfectly fine.
Except it wasn't!
When he was laid off from his job at an architecture firm in 2009, Glenn floundered a bit.
Until we went to a farmers market in Tucson Arizona and saw a man roasting coffee beans in the back of his truck and selling them!
And that's where it began!

The Frankly Good Coffee Story, Part 1:
Frankly Good Coffee started with me (Stef) complaining about how I could not find any coffee beans that I liked anywhere. This was 10 years ago, when specialty coffee was not as prolific as it is now. My husband, Glenn, tried to remedy the situation by getting us a home roaster, which was great in theory until my first batch of beans caught on fire! Fortunately, the house did not burn down and we became prolific at the art of home roasting. Turns out we were just getting started.
Coffee drinkers and friends of coffee drinkers should out Frankly Good Coffee for freshly roasted coffee selections, online ordering and subscriptions, including their new Creative Fuel blends - created by Glenn to celebrate this podcast. Can't wait to fill your online coffee orders.
