Consider: How will you choose to fuel your food and body goals this year? To create the results you want, you will need to take different actions with food. And, the quality of your food actions will be determined by the emotions you use to fuel them. Read that again. In the new year, most will feel compelled to fuel their food actions from motivation. As most of us already know, this heightened state of motivation is short-lived. It’s not sustainable emotional fuel. We cannot rely on motivation for long-term goals. Because, you are an eater for life. You have a body for life. You cannot rely on short-term emotional fuel to take action with food and body. You must learn to create sustainable emotional fuel that lasts. In other words, to make your food and body goals inevitable this year, you will need to learn how to create sustainable emotional fuel that compels you to show up to healthy eating — long after the new year has passed.
