Uncontrolled thruster firings on a new Russian space laboratory module, just hours after it docked with the International Space Station, caused quite the stir among space agencies earlier today.

The situation is now reportedly under control, although the mishap is already pushing back other missions as a result: the Boeing Starliner OFT-2 launch to the International Space Station is now delayed. Other trips to the Station may be delayed or canceled as well.

Russia’s service module, docked to the other side of the Station, fired thrusters to cancel out the push coming from the thrusters firing in error.

No astronauts were lost during the incident.

In other news, a tsunami warning was issued earlier in the day after a strong 8.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska.

This is FULCRUM - real news from America’s capitol and around the world.

The Hubble Space Telescope took images 20 years ago, just now being properly analyzed by experts with modern computers, and it reportedly shows evidence of water vapor on Jupiter’s giant moon, Ganymede. According to experts, this could make Jupiter’s moons one day a focus of search for extraterrestrial microbes, instead of Mars or Europa.

In other news, Nevada has issued an emergency order to force vaccinated and unvaccinated alike to wear masks in 12 of 17 counties beginning Friday. In Oregon, health officials are advising similar measures, even for indoor public settings.

In developing news, researchers at NCAR and elsewhere are troubled about recent solar activity.

Solar Cycle 25 was expected to be calm, but so far it has not been, with an X 1.5-class solar flare recorded on July 3rd.

A now deleted NOAA post, which still appears up on the Space Weather Prediction System's Twitter feed, identified six distinct new spots on the side of the Sun facing Earth.

Although experts say large solar flares would pose little risk to humans on Earth, they could damage space stations and craft in orbit, and could also disrupt GPS signals, satellite networks, radio signals and other technologies.

In a growing sign that there are problems with the mRNA vaccines, Israel’s health ministry has said the Pfizer vaccine appears effective only 39 percent of the time in preventing Delta variant infection.

via Reddit

The Pfizer vaccine was the one that Israel’s government pushed on its population.

And anecdotal evidence continues to spill over on Reddit and Facebook that this isn’t like other vaccines. Young people are reporting chest pain, heart problems, and lack of energy even months after receiving the shot. Many received the jabs without issue, however, it must be noted — and as the largest vaccine rollout in human history, we wonder how much of the damage is due to the simply much larger rollout size.

Authorities now believe Oregon's massive Bootleg fire, one of the largest unconfined wildfires ever experienced on US soil, was started by a lightning strike. The Bootleg fire is now reportedly so large it has generated its own weather in the region, according to a New York Times report.

As of a day ago, the Bootleg fire covered nearly 600 square miles.

Australians are increasingly worried about COVID19 outbreak resurgence lockdowns that have targeted Victoria, and now Sydney. Here’s what we know so far.

On July 13th, Australia’s government promised financial aid as the Sydney lockdown continued.

Then a day later, Sydney confirmed it will move into an extended lockdown state.

Stock markets rallied Tuesday, with the Dow Jones closing up nearly 550 points.

Bitcoin, however, dipped lower despite news out earlier today that Bank of America has begun clearing and settling cryptocurrency exchange-traded products, or ETPs, for European hedge fund clients.

In other news, fresh fears about new virus variants keep part of Australia under strict lockdown, and the UK is enacting a ban on night club visits to anyone who is not “fully vaccinated.”

My own personal experience is that I feel noticeably more focused while taking C60, and although it isn’t psychoactive in any way (it doesn’t get you high), the ‘clarifying’ effect I’ve noticed over time is not something I would want to lose. https://go.c60purplepower.com/FULCRUM10/

Do not take C60 if you are on a blood thinner. C60 is the carbon 60 allotrope, sometimes referred to as buckminsterfullerene or simply ‘fullerene,’ although fullerene can refer to other molecules with similar properties. C60 is created — it is believed — in deep space by dying red giant stars and is also able to be produced — on Earth — in a laboratory setting. C60 claims here and elsewhere have not been FDA reviewed and no warranties or guarantees provided. Not intended to treat or cure any disease.
