A bizarre metallic pillar or “monolith” in the Utah desert has disappeared, leading to even more questions about its purpose, creator, and who or what removed it over the last 48 hours from the remote region of the Utah desert land in which it was first identified, by a crew passing overhead in a helicopter.

The triangular metal column, or “Utah monolith,” which stood at roughly twice the height of a workman — has strangely disappeared, just as authorities became interested in studying it.
