  • Full Circle 12 - 31 - 2021 Girl Groups Musical Mash Up
Tonight as 2021 draws to an end… We invite you all to an eclectic listening party of girl groups from current and past graduates of the kpfa apprenticeship program.
These selections serve up songs of dissent, solidarity, and insight as we reflect and ruminate on this past year and await and contemplate 2022. I don’t know about you, but I am having all the feelings about both 2021 and 2022- it's like the last 12 months have taken years and also feel like it was such a blur. I am sentient shiloh also known as DJ Loh in one of my past lives entering your ears from Huichin-occupied Ohlone territory also known to settlers as Fruitvale in Oakland. Grab your tea or an adult beverage and join me for a fierce female mix.

So tonight we'll share some of those past shows along with some holiday reflections .
On tonight's we'll hear music from: Daughters of Yam, Vukani Mawethu and Laura Inserra and T Bird. Also Commentaries from Veronica Moscoso and Mia Parsons

  • Myron Dewey Full Interview From Flashpoints 11 - 2016
ICYMI, Check out this week's Full Circle with Freewillin Franklin to learn about what's been happening in Wet'suwet'en territory around the Coastal GasLink Pipeline. Many folks became aware of this story when Democracy Now broadcast footage of a raid on one of the Wet'suwet'en camps set up to resist the pipeline.
According to Coastal GasLink’s website, the proposed 670 kilometre long Coastal GasLink Pipeline will transport natural gas to the approved LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) Canada facility near Kitimat. In doing so, the pipeline route will cut through the heart of Wet'suwet'en territory. Joining me tonight to talk about this is Shay Lynn Sampson.
Shay Lynn Sampson is an Indigenous Land Defender from the Gitxsan Nation. She was arrested on November 19, 2021 during the militarized raid on Wet'suwet'en Yintah alongside 30 other arrests that happened within a 2 day period, and held for a 4 day period in police custody before being released under conditions.
