Celtic take on Rangers in Sunday’s League Cup semi-final at Hampden - a brand new experience for Danny Röhl, but a familiar stage for Martin O’Neill, a man who thrives on the big occasion.

The returning hero has faced Rangers no fewer than 27 times as Celtic manager, and remarkably, it’s now over 25 years since his first encounter - the unforgettable 6–2 game back in August 2000.

We’d all gladly take a repeat of that scoreline as the Bhoys look to retain the League Cup they lifted against the same opponents just under a year ago. Both sides, meanwhile, will be desperate to serve up something far more exciting than uninspiring stalemate that marked the first derby of the season.
