Quickly he realizes something is not right inside the home, and he is faced with the hauntings of his past including the disappearance of his son. The cast discuss their opinions and reactions to the hysterically strange events that unfold.

The movie employs a star-studded cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, and Mark Wahlberg. The Departed was directed by the respected and renowned Martin Scorsese. When you combine the star power, expertise behind the scenes, and a brilliant story how could you go wrong? As it turns out, the overwhelming amount of positive ratings and reviews did not discourage one of the crew from voicing their disdain. We hope you enjoy. 

In this episode, the gang dives deep into the visually stunning 2007 Sci-Fi flick Sunshine (Luke's pick). The movie stars Cillian Murphy and Chris Evans and boasts an impressive supporting cast. With a plot that involves space, science, murder, and possible human extinction, it is sure to provide plenty of talking points. 

On this episode Luke, Kristen and Justin review The Tomorrow War. The movie is the newest Amazon original movie, and the first to seemingly be at blockbuster level. A group decision was made for Kristen to host, because she has had less opportunities than the boys (and she is better than them LOL). The Tomorrow War stars Chris Pratt and is about an ex-Green Beret turned science teacher who is running out of hope for his future. Then suddenly everything changes in an instant when visitors from the future appear during the World Cup and tell of a war that will wipe out humanity. Chris Pratt is drafted soon after and the movie follows his journey to save the world. Luke, Justin, and Kristen discuss many topics including their takes on the ending, the creature of the creature feature, and how much Kristen loves Chris Pratt. 

This episode is hosted by Kristen, because it was her turn in the rotation. The movie was collectively chosen because it appeared to be the first blockbuster release directly from Amazon. The Tomorrow War stars Chris Pratt, and is about an ex soldier turned science teacher, who is tasked with saving all of humanity after travelers from the future come forth and explain that the world as they know it will be wiped out in 2051. Luke, Kristen, and Justin discuss the plot of the "creature feature", aspects that they liked, where the movie fell short, and their ideas for alternate endings.

Kristen hosts this review and picked the movie for the crew. War Dogs is a loose biopic about two young Jewish men in their early 20's who are finding themselves in life, and simultaneously securing government contracts for guns, ammo, armor, etc. It stars Jonah HIll and Miles Teller who both seemed to have found their stride. The duo land two major deals worth millions of dollars, and due to greed end up being caught defrauding the government. Luke, Kristen, and Justin discuss their reactions to the movie, truth vs Hollywood, the idea of being in the position of these two young men, and much more. 

During this episode Luke, Kristen, and Justin discuss the mostly unknown film Donnie Darko. Donnie Darko stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, Patrick Swayze, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The movie is about a high school boy that escapes death because a dark figure resembling a rabbit told him to leave in his dreams. An airplane engine falls on his bed the same night. The troubled teenager (Gyllenhaal) is them prompted to commit a series of crimes in disassociated states while exploring the idea of time travel. Much of this movie is up for interpretation, and there are many theories of what the ending means and if the events during the movie actually happened or not. The hosts discuss their theories, reactions to the movie, and go over the events that transpired. 

This 2016 comedy starring James Franco and Bryan Cranston really created a divide between the crew. A conservative father forced to meet a tech billionaire boyfriend led to many laughs, or did it? Listen in and hear Luke, Kristen, and Justin discuss the movie, argue about whether or not it is funny, and then listen to them laugh and enjoy arguing about what constitutes humor.

Neither Luke, Kristen, or Justin had seen a Quiet Place prior to watching it for the review, and followed it up with the first in-theatre movie visit of the year with Quiet Place II.
