The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead and expect heavy delays for the following closures of north- and southbound Interstate 17 between Happy Valley Road and State Route 74 (Carefree Highway), for pavement sealing maintenance and lane striping: Southbound I-17 CLOSED between SR 74 (Carefree Highway) and Happy Valley Road from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. The southbound I-17 on-ramps at Daisy Mountain Drive and Pioneer Road will also be closed. Detour: Southbound traffic can exit onto westbound SR 74 and use southbound Lake Pleasant Parkway to eastbound Happy Valley Road...
