Welcome to Full of Wind, a podcast connecting two hemispheres of sport … from two very windy cities.
Every month, Sam Brief (from the Northern Hemisphere) and Justin Nelson (from the Southern Hemisphere) debate, discuss and question the business, culture and future of sport. What can each side of the world learn from the other? Let's dive in.
Sam Brief (based in Chicago, Illinois, USA, "The Windy City") Sam Brief is a broadcaster, podcaster, media relations professional and three-point specialist (depending on who you ask). Brief is the play-by-play voice of the Chicago Dogs professional baseball team and broadcasts for the Windy City Bulls of the NBA G League, as well as college athletics and more.
Justin Nelson (based in Wellington, New Zealand, the actual windiest city in the world) is a Melbourne native who comes with 30+ years of experience in sports broadcasting, commercial, marketing and management across a variety of sports including Basketball, AFL, Football and Motorsport in Australia and New Zealand. He's now the Head of Commercial & Events at Sky New Zealand.
In the first episode, Sam and Justin dive into:
What March Madness taught us about the future of women's basketball
How baseball and Aussie rules football can truly go global
Justin's crazy (awesome) idea for New Zealand basketball
How the NBA should re-work the in-season tournament conceptFull of Wind is produced by Sam Brief, and music is courtesy of David Brief and Channel J.
