23:52 – 39:31 – Coach Bob Lovell of the legendary Indiana Sports Talk joins the show to dive into all the basketball action with John! They first discuss the situation in Kentucky, and if John Calipari is on the way out there. They also talk about Florida Atlantic University, and if Dusty May will return to the program next year.  

39:32 – 41:50 – JMV wraps up the first hour of the show! 

41:51 – 1:04:53 – Alan Karpick of Gold and Black joins the show to help preview Purdue’s opening game in the NCAA Tournament! Alan and JMV talk about what Purdue needs to do to make a run. They also discuss the run they’ve been on since Edey arrived, and how his legacy could depend on how far Purdue goes this year. They look ahead through the tournament, and talk about some potential matchups should Purdue win tonight.

Tom also talks about what the Tavern has to offer for incoming Purdue fans excited for their team’s game tonight! He also takes a call from a listener in West Lafayette who wants to talk about his Boilermakers, and his favorite JMV guest.  

1:19:01 – 1:24:58 – JMV wraps up the 2nd hour of the show with a scoreboard update of all the NCAA games going on right now! 

1:24:59 – 1:52:08 – Don Fischer, the voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, joins the show to put an endcap on the Hoosiers basketball season! Don and JMV dive into the tournament, and first talk the sloppy play by Dusty May’s FAU Owls in their loss. They also discuss the NIL situation, and how it will affect other teams. Don also gives his thoughts on the end of the Hoosiers season, and what the major issues this year were.  

1:52:09 – 2:05:05 – Chris Denari of Bally Sports Indiana joins the show to preview tonight’s Pacers-Warriors matchup! Chris and John discuss the Pacers win over Detroit to begin their road swing. Chris also talks about what the Pacers need to do to start stringing togethers some wins. They also look back at the last time the Warriors played the Pacers.
