He then talks about the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indy 500, which is just a few days away! He discusses the experience of the 500, and how it is about so much more than the race itself. John then talks about the passing of Tina Turner. 

23:36 – 38:19 – 2019 Indy 500 winner Simon Pagenaud joins the program! Simon and John discuss the passing of Tina Turner; they then begin talking about the Indy 500, and the preparations Simon is undertaking to get ready for it. Simon talks about some of his earliest memories of the race. He then talks about when he won the race in 2019, and what he remembers from that. He also talks about what he thinks his best performance was in the 500. 

38:20 – 42:19 – John closes the first hour out by looking at some comments and questions from listeners online! 

42:20 – 1:06:21 – Indy 500 racer Conor Daly joins the show to talk race day. John and Conor discuss the skill and luck needed to win this 500-mile race. Conor talks about how IMS is different than any other track and how simulating races does not come into fruition at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Conor talks about his preparation for race day, the excitement he’s feeling having a chance to compete at the Speedway this Sunday, and why it’s so special to him being a local kid from Noblesville. 

1:06:22 – 1:23:29 - “Track Dude”, Michael Young, who is part of the IMS Broadcasting Team, joins JMV to discuss his expectations ahead of the 107th running of the Indy 500. Michael and John talk about some of the star racers they think have the best chance at victory. Michael goes on to highlight his best memories from the Speedway and what it’s like broadcasting the race. 

1:23:30 – 1:26:44 – John closes out the second hour of the show! 

1:26:45 – 1:55:16 – Kevin Bowen joins the show to talk with John about a little bit of everything. They talk racing and KB gives his predictions for the race. The conversation turns to new NFL rule changes, and the guys focus on different kickoff options with field positioning, and on-side kicks. Kevin touches on Colt’s returner Zaire Franklin’s recent tweet about the rule changes, and why Bowen agrees with Franklin. Quickly, the guys talk about the Pacers and their future. 

1:55:17 – 2:09:36 – From “burnoutsports.com”, Tony Donahue stops by the show. John and Tony discuss what everybody wants to know... who is going to win the Indy 500. Tony gives his picks and opinions, and he explains why some of the younger racers have a good chance on Sunday.
