God's love for us is…

…Protective. 

God knows we're prone to wander! God knows that we are vulnerable. Jesus will leave the 99 and go for just one little lamb. He wishes all would come to Him. 

…Patient

He comes to us, slow to anger and abounding in love, leaving the 99, for just one. He will take the time to reach us. He will continue to pursue you.

…Personal

"And if he finds it, He rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray." This means quite literally…When someone who is lost is found, repents of their sin, and comes to the Father… “He is ‘happier than ever before.” (Matt 18:13).
