Back in the time before time, when animals could talk and people took the time to listen, there was much we could learn from our feathered and four footed furry friends, from the slimy and the scaled creatures who share our world. Fables are animal stories that are really about humans in animal skins. And I would say there is still much we can learn about being better humans from these other sentient beings. Here are four fables from Aesop and one from India along with ideas for writing and telling your own fables.
