On part One Season One Episode Eight of Funny over 40:Exceptional & Exhausted, Monica and Jennifer had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Ankita Ghosh about the comedy scene in Vietnam, the trials and tribulations of being starting comedy at a later age, comedy via zoom versus life shows, on being an asshole, and so much more.
Ankita Ghosh is an advertising creative director by day and by-accident comedian at night.
She hails from India, lives in Vietnam, and has made people laugh in Los Angeles, London, Edinburgh(Fringe), Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Melbourne, Saigon, Bangkok, Hanoi… Clearly, that escalated rather quickly in 5 years!
Much like Indian food, her comedy is authentic, flavourful and spicy. Hold on to your pants!

Monica & Jennifer June continue their highly flammable chat with Beth Snow about why she started doing Stand Up Comedy, what she was doing when the building across from her house blew up, the day Monica realized she was *couch* old, and how Jennifer June is coping with living with a literal murderer, and so much more...
Beth Snow is the short but feisty brains behind the blog https://www.nottobetrustedwithknives.com.
She's also a hockey player, a comedian and a scientist with far too many university degrees, but most importantly, she's somehow still funny (hilarious), even though she's over 40.
Wait... a scientist? What? Oh yeah that...
Dr. Snow’s work focuses on bridging the gap between research and evaluation evidence and health services delivery. She has expertise in evaluation and implementation science, and a strong interest in equity. She has conducted evaluations in a range of healthcare settings, including public health, acute care, and long-term care. She co-authored the textbook Nutrition Basics: An Active Approach, and led the creation of a model of engaging marginalized populations in health services planning.
Monica & Jennifer June chat with Beth Snow about Comedy, life after 40 (of course), HOCKEY (much to Monica's dismay) an naturally... goats. kinda...

Monica and Jennifer June chat with Johanne Pelletier, a Montreal-based award-winning writer storyteller, and repeat performer at Funny over 40: Exceptional Exhausted, about refrigerator repair and other things that normal people do, becoming a storyteller, and retiring from Lesbianism.
Monica and Jennifer June chat with Johanne Pelletier, a Montreal-based award-winning writer and storyteller, and repeat performer at Funny over 40: Exceptional Exhausted, about dropping the shame and coming out about her love for IKEA.
And Johanne asks Jen and Monica the hard-hitting question...
If performing makes us nervous/anxious/clinically deranged, why do we do it?
Comedians and producers Jennifer June Chapman & Monica Hamburg chat about what it's like being over 40 years old in a society that categorizes "middle-aged" women as
not sexy anymore, sexy despite their age, and sexy because of their age.
