Hello guys, it has been a long since I posted here. Let me make up for that as I upload this video of my chess games which I played yesterday on the occasion of International Chess Day 2023.

I was not aware of this day until I saw it in my Twitter feed. So, I decided to play some games. I have not been playing much of chess lately but for me, chess is a beautiful game and will always have a special place in my heart.

In the video, as you can see I played 4 games of Blitz having 5+3 as my time control. Let me put up a disclaimer that English is not my first language it is my third so please keep that in mind. I tried to show tell you my thought process in the games.

I had black pieces in the first game and did not play well in the opening. I even exchanged most of my pieces and I was down 2 pawns with a completely losing position but my opponent failed to convert those extra pawns to their advantage and one of my outside pawns almost got promoted so they had to sacrifice their rook. I won that game easily in the end which looked like a resignable game for me a few moves ago.

I was white in the next game and played the queen's gambit. Black's Queen came in and plunked itself in the centre of the board where I slowly trapped the Queen. With the Queen trapped right in the middle of the board, they resigned.

In the next game, I was doing good with Black and even got an advantage by trapping their knight and winning it. But with a one-move blunder, I gave back the advantage and after some time the double bishop proved to be a huge nuisance for me and I lost this game.

One of the most crucial positions of the last game was when I was threatening a mate with my two rooks and a Knight. Black had a saving move by bringing back their bishop to g7 and I would be lost. But they missed this move and I delivered a checkmate with my two rooks. This type of checkmate is called the "Blind Swine Mate" and is very satisfying to deliver.

I know my games are still bad and I have to work on my openings and tactics. Sorry for the bad quality of presentation as well. This was my first one and I will improve with time.

Hello, gamers!

I am having a blast playing rocket league. Yesterday, I was testing a few things on how to stream and fired up my first stream. Nothing fancy, just a game capture window and the game sound. I was happy to see that streaming is lag-free on twitch. Didn't know my 50 Mbps connection can do that...lol

Anyways, here are more games that I played in Rocket league.

In this video, I played two different games in competitive modes. Both were 2v2 games.

Well, I play all matches 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 but rarely the 4v4 chaos modes. Good that we don't have 4v4 in competitive mode. But my favourite one is 2v2. It feels like a perfect mode for the size of the arena, not too open/empty and not too crowded at the same time, just the way I like that. You can play strategically with 2v2 easily. 1v1 is not my cup of tea. Mostly because I suck at that...lol

Anyways, here are a couple of games that I played today. I got lucky on those and won both of them.

The first game was relatively easy but we were struggling at first and getting accompanied by each other abilities. My stupid clear turned into an easy pass for the opponents and they scored the first goal. This bad performance didn't end here. We took another goal and now were trailing 0-2 in the game with still 3 mins left. My teammate then scored two back-to-back goals and we were back in the game.

Soon another goal was scored by us and we were 3-2 for a brief moment only to get equalised again. It was a neck-to-neck fight. I scored the final decider goal and the scoreline was 4-3 at the end. It was a fun game with bad play by me at the start but we recovered well.

The next game was a disaster, to say the least. After scoring a goal within 5 secs one would think it will be easy but heck no. They came back strongly. I don't want to talk much about this game but it was a 2-4 loss for us. Not a great game by me for sure but my opponent was trash in this game.

Still at Plat III Div II.

I posted the last Let's Play #1 in my @pravesh0 account. That was a mistake, I wanted to do it here in @fun.pravesh0. 3speaks had me confused...lol. Anyways, let's focus about today's games.

This game was the easier one. We won 4-1, I was playing with a random guy. The first goal came early from our side but they equalised right back to 1-1. After a min or so I got lucky and scored another goal taking our scoreline to 2-1 and after that the entire match we dominated the opponent team. In the last minute, we scored two more goals finishing 4-1.

I got the MVP for this game with 2 goals and 1 save. But my division didn't improve from that win. I was at Platinum III Div I, so a brand new Plat III.

Next was an interesting game, it went into extra time. My teammate was kind of a jerk in this game. Seemed like they shouted at me all the game...lol

I scored 2 goals and 2 saves. This time I moved up to Plat III Div II.
