oday’s sermon (April 26) was a Q and A wrap up of the April sub-theme on beholding God‘s holiness. Today’s lesson focuses on Leviticus 19, a seminal passage on holiness, specifically how our holiness should replicate God‘s holiness.

This lesson investigates the biblical definition of “justice” using the Parable of the Persistent Widow and the Parable of the Tax Collector (Luke 18). For God, “justice” and “mercy” are not opposites. God’s “justified” people who yearn for His “justice” must in turn be “just” to others.

This lesson focuses on our reflection of God’s holiness, specifically, what holy conduct entails.

This sermon explores “Beholding God’s Holy Love” in Isaiah 40 &43. Monte explores His holy love that is evident in Creation, the Resurrection and ourselves.

This sermon explores “waiting upon the Lord” in Isaiah 40:31, using the stories of Ahaz and Hezekiah in Isaiah 7 & 37 to illustrate how to wait confidently on God without becoming jaded or self-reliant.

This sermon looks at the concept of God’s transcendence, his being above and beyond the created world. It examines the role of awe in facilitating our appreciation of this transcendence, so that we might be more fully transformed according to his divine image.
