700 years before Jesus was a baby in a manger, He was a promise offered as hope to a people in distress. Everyone knows Christmas, for Christians, is all about Jesus. Few, though, understand why the coming of the Messiah was so longed for or why those existing after His arrival are so incredibly blessed by His coming. In our new series starting today, we will look back to see what kind of savior was promised to find hope in the promise received. Join us today for week 1 of "He Shall Be Called."

Becoming a Christian, in some ways, is like becoming a parent. You know it is a huge deal, but you are not really aware of all the implications that come with this new life as someone's parent, or Christ's follower. One such implication that is often overlooked and therefore unrealized is our responsibility as a disciple of Christ to disciple others. That word, "disciple," is both noun and verb. While there is no definitive book on being a parent, there is such a book for being a disciple. We'll read some of it together today as we finish up our series: We the Church.

In the earliest version of the Church, it was understood that all of the Christ-followers in a city, were on mission together. Somewhere along the way, church attendance and influence became a competition and the gospel impact of Christians in lots of cities all over the world is worse for it. Only when Christians in a given city understand that whatever God is going to do in their city He is going to do it through all of His people will the Church be what it was intended. Join us today at Fusion City Church as we learn together how to move away from the inefficient model of competition between church to the collaboration of churches.

On some level, every follower of Christ knows that the work of the church, and the message of the gospel must extend outside the walls of the church building. For many, though, there is a lack of understanding as to what that means for them as an individual. That is what we'll address today in Week 3 of We the Church. Every Christian in every place in the world has at one point in their journey of faith asked the same question: What is God's will for my life? Some, or maybe even most, believe it to be a great unanswerable mystery. What if it isn't? What if you could know what God's will is? The Apostle Paul gave us the key to unlock the "mystery" of God's will. We'll take a look together today at how to discern God's will in week two of We the Church.

Every Christian who has ever prayed has made some request of God. The power of the gospel, and what Jesus accomplished on our behalf has been the answer to many or most of those prayers. What if we as the Church were able to be the answer to something Jesus prayed for, would you be interested? Right before he was led away to be crucified, Jesus asked the Father for something regarding every Christian that would ever live. If you would like to know how you could be the answer to Jesus' prayer, we'll learn how today in week 1 of our new series "We the Church."

Often times what makes our jobs difficult is not the tasks we perform, but the people we're forced to encounter. Fortunately for us, the Bible has quite a bit to say about how to deal with difficult people. Unfortunately for us, what scripture requires of us is often a hard pill to swallow. Only when our love for God is stronger than our love for holding grudges and getting even will we live and work in peace. We'll unpack how to do that today as we finish up our series: Made for Monday.

One of the best parts of being a follower of Christ is that it gives purpose to everything we do. Whatever we choose as our vocation is now our opportunity to join what God is doing in our workplace. When we are compensated for our work, how and where we invest and spend also has a purpose. Today at Fusion City Church, we'll learn together that because we are Made for Monday, what we do with our Money Matters.

Every one of us wants to believe that our life has purpose, and like what we do matters. For many, the job we head off to every Monday morning doesn't feel much like our purpose, and in some cases it doesn't feel like what we are doing matters much in the larger scope of life. The great news for those with a relationship with Christ is that our workplace is our mission field. Our purpose may not be what we do for a living, but who we are around for several hours a day. Today, we'll learn why God has us where are and just how true it is that we are Made for Monday!
