There can be some fascination about being the 'only' - whether in terms of gender, race, age, skin tone, height, etc. However, as you reflect you realise that the picture is skew. The real work begins when we recognise how this 'only-ness' can also be used to cause harm and create separation. For a lasting change to happen, a positive intention coupled with a commitment to confront our own biases and insecurities, seems to be the best ways out. What do you think?
