You know that person you meet when they are fired up and ready to take on the world ? You know you get the feeling that they will land on their own feet and do something magical in the world ? .That’s  who the multi-dimensional  Nkgabi is to me. From our first connect almost a decade ago (in the company of Mukondi Ralushayi-Kgomo her partner in business) I sensed something ‘bigger than the moment’ was happening. Later, they would talk to me about their dream- and I was super delighted when they took the biggest leap in service to themselves and their truth and started their own Agency - known to the world as Think Creative Africa.    

Nkgabi is equal parts creative and sensitive, she’s whip-smart and compassionate. A drop in gaze prepares you for her unique humour and a toss back of the head precedes a laughter emanating from the back of her belly button. She’s grounded, ambitious, mindful, and all things fierce…I have the privilege of calling her a beloved. Whether on creative award panels, on social and on the streets- Nkgabi leaves an indelible mark.

After an interaction with someone - I often rely on my sense of energy and vibration to evaluate. If I feel drained, I know that there was a mis-match somewhere. If I feel uplifted and energised then I know that we were in sync.  It’s been my experience that those who are good for you, are good to you. How do you think you make people feel once you have left them?

There is no solo act here, life is a duet and the Zebra knows this. For, it matters not whether the bullet lands on the black or white stripe, the whole animal feels the pain. So next time you lull yourself into thinking what happens over there cannot affect you over here, think again. We rise or fall together as one race, the human race.
